Our Covid-19 Response

As the result of the COVID-19 pandemic, all programs and fabric donations are hold on until the pandemic is contained. This affects all touch points that were previously held in-person (i.e. classes, gatherings, meetings, etc.). The safety of our volunteers and the community that we serve is paramount. Please take the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of yourself, family, and neighbors.

We hope to see you in the latter half of 2021, safe, sound, and vaccinated! Our volunteers are currently working behind the scenes to develop programming that will be launched once it is safe. Once we re-open to the public, all safety protocols will be revised to adhere to the recommendations set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Our hearts go out to those who have been lost or impacted by this disease.

Sew Happy Foundation was formed after one of our Board Members suffered from a stroke.  As part of her recovery, she learned how to sew. She discovered that sewing improved her motor & problem-solving skills, hand dexterity, critical thinking and mathematical capabilities. She developed a sewing program for stroke survivors, which she implemented at Pate Rehabilitation in Dallas, TX. As a result of this experience, she formed Sew Happy Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. We look forward to having you help grow this organization!
